2010.04.13 – 14″ at Snowbird

I was pleasantly surprised this morning.  Today was much much better skiing that Wednesday a week ago when half the city flocked to Little Cottonwood in hopes of 5 feet of pow, but found that the sun had baked it into a heavy 8 inches.  Nobody was up here today, and the snow was great.  Not January Utah blower pow, but still pretty good.  I mostly stuck to the Carbonate Chutes, with a few other areas added for good measure.

1st run was through this chute.

2nd run through here.

3rd run up to the right there.

4th run, came through here. Some other dude getting some.

Then a 5th leisurely run in some low angle pow down to the car.  Good morning.
