Late November North Carolina Riding

Summer in North Carolina may indeed suck.  But the fall is really nice.  For the last 2 months the mornings have been cool and crisp, and the sun warms things up to a nice 50-70 degrees in the middle of the day.  Now, in late November, the mornings are a little chillier, but the afternoons are crisp and dry.  Real fall weather with foliage supplying the perfect for riding.

Central NC foliage.

My bikes front fork was making some clicking noises upon engaging the suspension, so the local shop has had it for the past week.  Steph’s new bike had to sit all alone until my bike was back and ready to go.  So after Thanksgiving and 2 nights of leftovers, it was time burn off some of those calories on the bike instead of by foot.

We went back to the Wild Turkey trail over in Greensboro.  She’s ridden that trail before, so we thought it would be a good choice on her new bike.

Ripping on the fallen leaves.

It's log!

Steph is getting more and more used to the feeling of a full suspension bike.

Steph was going to take a picture of a tree and was admiring the spider-shaped thing on the bark when it MOVED!!!

Watch out.

Finish it off leaning into the turn.
